Hello Beaver Families!
Welcome to a new year of Beaver Scouts! We’re excited to get the Scouting season underway and are looking forward to a fantastic year filled with friendship, outdoor adventures, new skills, and lots of fun.
For those joining us for the first time, welcome to the Beaver Colony! And to our returning families, we’re very happy to have you back.
Unless otherwise communicated, Beaver meetings are scheduled every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lakeview United Church. Please access the facility through the Administration entrance. Meetings will typically be held in the gym.
We will be placing a group order for uniforms and equipment. You can access the order link here. Please place your order by the end of the day on September 14 so that uniforms can arrive before Investiture on September 24. Ordering with the group will help save on shipping costs.
On a weekly basis, we will publish a four-week lookahead to communicate the section’s schedule and provide updates on any program changes. Remember, Scouting is youth-led. Many of the activities we schedule are requested by the youth and are tailored to the objectives of Scouts Canada.

We’ll kick off the year by welcoming everyone back, getting to know one another, and organizing the Beavers into their lodges.

September 17th – Sports Day

Come ready to move! We’ll head outside for an evening of sports, games, teamwork, and Beaver fun. Please dress for the weather and bring a water bottle.

September 19th – Beaver & Cub Fall Family Event
Fairy Hill
Beaver and Cub families are invited to join us for our Fall Family Event at Fairy Hill. More details will be shared as we get closer to the date.
September 24th – Fall Investiture

Investiture is a special Scouting tradition where we formally welcome our new members into the Colony and celebrate the beginning of another Scouting year.

October 1st – Bottle Drive Flyer Delivery

We’ll be heading into the neighbourhood to deliver flyers in preparation for our upcoming bottle drive. Please make sure Beavers are dressed appropriately for the weather and ready for some walking.
