During your visit\, firefighters will show your group where the fire trucks are parked and share some important fire safety messages. If time allows\, you may even get a chance to see the back of the fire truck and check out the tools firefighters use to help people. To make sure everyone stays safe and has fun\, here are a few important rules to follow:Rule #1: Firefighters are always on duty. Firefighters are always ready to respond to emergencies. During your visit\, if an alarm sounds\, they need to move quickly and safely. Please stay calm\, step aside\, and follow your teacher’s or guide’s instructions so firefighters can respond without delay.Rule #2: Don’t push buttons in the truck. Those big buttons inside the fire truck may look like they’re begging to be pushed\, but hands off! One curious pressed button could turn on lights\, blast the siren\, or start a very loud\, very confusing situation. Looking is way better than accidentally alarming a fire truck.Rule #3: Look\, don’t climb. Firefighter gear and equipment are heavy and can be dangerous if handled incorrectly. Helmets\, boots\, and tools are for trained firefighters only. Please don’t touch or climb on anything—just look and learn to stay safe.Rule #4: Ask questions. Firefighters love teaching kids about safety. Want to know how much water is inside a fire truck? Or why the drivers love math? Ask away! You might even learn some cool facts to teach your family.Rule #5: Don’t forget your ride. Please ensure your group has wheels. Whether it’s a big yellow bus or parent drivers\, someone needs to stick around to take you home. Firefighters may have to leave suddenly for a real emergency.Final Tip: Be respectful and listen carefully throughout your visit. Remember\, the fire station is a workplace where firefighters prepare to respond to emergencies. Following the rules helps keep everyone safe and ensures you can enjoy seeing the trucks\, equipment\, and firefighters at work.
