Spring Bottle Drive

2026 Spring Bottle Drive
(If your Beaver missed potting a plant on May 7th, we’ll help them out today!)
The bi-annual bottle drive is one of our most important fundraisers for the year; and your time volunteered goes towards your Scouter account. Please join the section if you can!
Bottle drives help pay for programming, badges, neckerchiefs, troop gear, weekly meeting supplies, and camp supplies.
Thursday, May 7th: All sections will be delivering flyers around the neighbourhood to advertise our upcoming semi-annual bottle drive. Please arrive on time, this is one of our major fundraisers for the year.
Saturday, May 9th: We need all youth and parents to come out and assist with the bottle drive. Please meet behind Lakeview United Church no later than 8:45 a.m.
Trucks are a valuable asset for this event and are greatly appreciated. Historically, volunteer turnout has been low, which has meant people staying well past 4:00 p.m. We are hoping for maximum participation this year. There are many ways to help, including driving, collecting bottles and cans, and sorting, so there are jobs for everyone. We will provide hot dogs (meat and vegetarian), donuts, and coffee. Treats will also be available for those with egg allergies. Participation in the bottle drive is expected from all registered youth and their family members.
