Behavioural Expectations
Scouting is meant to be fun, engaging, and energetic! While the program emphasizes outdoor skills and activities, our climate in Regina means many meetings take place indoors.
Whether indoors or outside, we expect all members to:
Roughhousing, fighting, yelling, pushing, or unsafe behaviour is not permitted. Although we may meet in a gym space during colder months, this does not mean unstructured running. Leaders work hard to include physical activity in safe, structured ways so everyone can participate and enjoy the program.

Uniforms
All Scouts are expected to wear their uniforms to meetings and events. Uniforms help Leaders easily identify groups, improve visibility during activities, and foster a sense of pride and belonging for our members.
Uniforms can be purchased new through the Scouts Canada online shop, and occasionally used uniforms may be available through local resale groups. Shipping from the online shop can be costly; however, our Group typically places two bulk orders per year to take advantage of free shipping. More information and timing will be shared when these orders are planned.
If your child does not have a uniform right away – that’s completely okay and expected!

Badges & Placement
Throughout the year, members earn badges that are sewn onto their vests (Beavers) or shirts (Cubs, Scouts, Ventures). Some badges may be replaced as your child progresses, so sewing is often preferable to fabric glue.

Badge Testing & Personal Interest Badges
Leaders follow the Canadian Path program, which includes required badges as well as opportunities for members to work toward Personal Interest Badges throughout the year.
Personal Interest Badges are optional, but many Scouts take great pride in setting goals and achieving them. Opportunities to work on and test for these badges are offered during the year.
