Fundraising

Funds raised through fundraising support your child’s section meetings and activities, including outings, crafts, supplies, special events, and year-end wind-up parties. This funding helps us provide a well-rounded, high-quality program that we hope your child(ren) will remember for years to come.

Our program is funded entirely through fundraising. Fundraising gives youth the opportunity to help support their participation in special events, camps, and jamborees, and it is essential to the overall operation of the Group.

Fundraising helps cover costs such as:
2nd Regina Scouts raises funds primarily through two bottle drives and a Christmas Tree Pickup.

Bottle Drive Badge

Bottle Drives

We hold bottle drives each September and April. These bottle drives are considered mandatory for all participants and family members (when possible). We rely on volunteers with trucks to help transport bottles back to the church, where they are sorted.

Christmas Tree Pickup

The Christmas Tree Pickup is an optional fundraiser. Because it requires older youth and parent involvement, time spent participating is credited to youth Scout Funds at a rate of $10 per hour per person.

Ukrainian Co-op

The Ukrainian Co-op Meat Fundraiser (fall) is another optional fundraiser that youth may choose to participate in. Funds raised through this fundraiser are also credited to youth Scout Funds.

West Coast Seeds

The West Coast Seeds Fundraiser (Winter, typically February) is an optional fundraiser where your family, friends, colleagues, etc. can purchase a wide variety of high-quality West Coast Seeds (a Canadian Company) directly through our fundraising link and receive 40% back on all sales! This is a scout account Fundraiser and has been successful in the past.

Purdy’s Chocolate

The Spring Purdy’s Chocolate Fundraiser is an optional fundraiser. Purdy’s has a large and delicious selection to choose from and a portion of the funds raised go directly to support the individual youth making the sale to attend camps and special events.

Spring Camp registration closes Friday, May 22nd
